Long run Saturdays
Join Team Stride for Stride every Saturday this winter for Long Run Saturdays - starting from REI Fenway at 9am. We'll be running every Saturday morning in preparation for the Boston Marathon on April 18th, the Brooklyn Marathon on April 24th, and to just stay in shape during the winter months. Everyone is welcome to join us.

Starting Location: REI Fenway (401 Park Drive) - we meet in the lobby between REI and Time Out Market.
Arrive: 9am - we leave at 9:15am

Next 3 Runs:
-
January 8 - To Johnny Kelley Statue & back (13 miles)
-
January 15 - To Mile 20 (Comm & Centre) & back (11 miles)
-
January 22 - Towards Newton Fire Station & back (15-17 miles)

Course: The course is very challenging with a lot of hills, including that famous hill; Heartbreak Hill. The distance will fluctuate each week, but we'll run out and back along the Boston Marathon course; Beacon Street towards Cleveland Circle, a half-loop around the Chestnut Hill Reservoir, up the Beacon Street hill at Boston College, right on College Road, and then left onto Comm Ave. On Comm Ave we'll run the carriage lane down Heartbreak Hill to the Johnny Kelley Statue (13 total miles), or the Newton Fire Station (17 miles), and back up Heartbreak Hill to Saint Ignatius (BC), right onto St. Thomas Moore Road, then the same half-loop around the Rez and back to REI via Beacon Street.

Transportation: REI is accessible via the Green Line (D train) - the Fenway stop. Meter parking is readily available on Beacon Street at St. Mary's, and on Monmouth Street in Brookline.
